This 482 door guard features a solid bar that interlocks with the strike plate's ball, allowing doors flush with frames to be slightly opened for viewing. The hinged bar can be positioned 180 degrees away from the door when not in use. An edge protection plate, included with cast brass door guards, minimizes door frame damage. It's designed to prevent the solid bar from marring the inside of the door and comes packed with sheet metal screws.
